The Site – Domestic property in the centre of Newbury – New build.
The developer of this site had originally wanted to create 3 flats but because of the approx 200 year old Yew Tree, and the fact that it was protected by a Tree Preservation Order, the Local Authority would only grant planning for a single dwelling.
Work included an all round tip reduction of no more than 1.5 meters to allow more light in to the property and clear away from the roof lines of surrounding properties. This will also help to maintain the tree and reduce the risk of snapped branches in the future and hopefully keep this beautiful tree healthy for many more years.
This was a 1 day job for three of our men. We also had our Cherry Picker on site to assist the guys. It was very tight access to the property due to houses all around and small gardens plus the added difficulty of one way streets to contend with.
Customer was pleased with the finished look of the tree.
