The Site – Large local estate covering 7000 acres.
This was 3 and a half weeks work for a team of 3. Also assisted by our Cherry Picker to speed the job up.
Work included following a Tree Survey which the estate had had prepared by an independent arboricultural expert. All of the work was along roads and footpaths throughout the estate. Each individual tree has a number tag and had been assessed for risk and then given a priority rating, recommending timescales for which the work needed to be completed ie. Urgent work, 3 months, 6 months or 12 months. The survey also details recommended works for the trees which assists our arborists with what needs to be done.
Work mainly included dead wooding and felling any dead or dangerous trees which could pose a hazard to the public who are using the roads and footpaths.
These jobs tend to be fairly tricky in the respect that we are required to use a map to find all corresponding trees on the Survey. This can be fairly difficult especially if tags have fallen off trees. It requires our staff to use initiative to work out which trees need to be worked on and what needs to be done to them. In some cases the trees had already fallen over since the survey was completed.
